Let's see what the action is, and then I'll see whether or not I bastardize it.

Quick thought on comic books. The military comic books from the Golden Age (1950 - 1980) are great examples of top notch story telling and interesting art.

Posting for postcount++ when wookie has been drinking is not recommended.

Meh, I did not go to bed. I am spending the time off to focus on rewriting my WWII horror novel. I'm trying out a new trick, dissecting the novels that achieve the same effect I am shooting for. I outline each part of these novels in a spreadsheet, separating a concise description of each chapter into its own cell. Then I do the same thing for my book and juxtapose the two to see if there is anything in the structure or sequencing in the other books that I can grab hold of and use for my own purpose.
What a cool exercise!

You sure sound like you would love the Power Structure writing program.

They also gave me an anti-nausea pill that can only be taken through the pooper.
Having a cover story for getting caught with your finger up there would be so awesome.

When I was on my college campus last weekend the first night ended with a friend barging into the room at 3 a.m. and declaring, "Give me the rest of the E. I'm putting it in my butt."

February ended well for me, craps-wise. No job yet, but a nice $2K score in the last 2 weeks and new contacts made. Now if only I can get the wife off the damned slot machines.

If you're playing craps, you'd better be a good bullsh*er to get her off the slots.

I wassd thinking about doing a thread abvout TV shows everyoner seems to have forgotten, but were great, but I realised being in the UK, what I think is forgotten may not be, in the USA.

Anyone remember these:

F-Troop
Callan (did this even get to America?)
The Wild Wild West
Best of the West
Some mothers do ave em
Monkey

I don't think I can do this thread because I'd be so different from you guys.

speaking of which, i just recently got back into comics. anyone interested in a comic/graphic novel* review thread?

*i rly hate the term graphic novel for it's just a pretentious way to say comic. and the best part, the term became popular when Will Eisner used it for his "a contract with god" which was a collection of short stories so the term novel didn't make any sense at all there. /end of rant

I sure am. I'd contribute a top 5 reverse countdown
with copious comments on each

I've acquired image files of the first 1500 copies of the fantastic '2000AD' comic ( don't ask, but 25Gb!) and finding it hard to find time to read em...

You have mentioned this program before. I will go check it out. Do they have a trial version or something?

EDIT: Okay, downloading the demo. Sounds neat. A little put off by the lack of proofreading on their website, but whatevs. I'll try it out for free.

Hilarious. But I can't help but ask... why in his butt? To hide it? Because the anus absorbs the E. more quickly?

???

Drinking antifreeze imo

Don't be crazy. Eventually those slot machines are going to pay out BIG.

I dunno about British shows everyone has forgotten, but I'd love a general British TV appreciation thread. My wife recently introduced me to Keeping Up Appearances. this show.

sounds good.
i'll try to write my first review within the next days. i'll cover more recent stuff (ongoings, limited series and one shots) but feel free to add the classics. hopefully we'll get some interesting discussions out of it.

Hahaha Inorite? I just love that Brit shows feature all sorts of kooky, everyday actors. Hardly anyone is a supermodel, and whenever you come across someone that MIGHT be that good looking, they open their mouths and present those gorgeous British teeth.

LOL this sounds like a scene out of a movie, probably the American Pie reboot.

Guy gets caught inserting one of these up his pooper.

"Uhhh, having a little fun over there?"

"No, I'm... uhh... just nauseas."

"Yeah, man. Me too. Sometimes twice a week."
