Went grocery shopping today and both stores I went to were both extremely well stocked and empty of customers. I'm pretty well set up not to have to leave the house again for a month. Hopefully by then things will start to drift back to normalcy.

Just finished "class." I'm down to around four or five students in one. Have another at 4:00. Let's see how many show up. Teaching remotely sucks. And the people who live in the condo upstairs are having a floor installed. Banging, sanding, buffing, more banging. Who wants a bunch of workmen in their homes these days?

Under cover of darkness, the bandits targeted the Singer Laren museum in Laren, east of Amsterdam, and made off with the Dutch master’s The Parsonage Garden at Nuenen in Spring (1884) while the institution was closed to the public.

“I am extremely pissed off that this happened,” the museum’s director Jan Rudolph de Lorm said at a press conference on Monday. “This is a huge blow. This is extremely difficult, especially in these times.”

Not much of a painting in my opinion, it deserved to be stolen. Hopefully the thieves will burn it and thus make the artworld a better place. The same policy could be extended to all the works of Andy Warhol and thus the eye could be relieved of much foulness.

it's weird discovering most people were lulled to not thinking years ago. maybe 30% bend at the will of the invisible hand, but that's more than enough. the rest aren't as impressionable, yet still amazing like city lights.
