That Patek's a beauty. My only advice would be to look at a ton of watches and take your time. If you look at tons of other Rolexes, Pateks, etc and three months from now that's still the only one you're thinking about, good chance it's the right option. When I bought my first nice watch I changed my mind many times (and fell in and out love with many watches) before settling on one.

Not really rococo I agree man, I'll always associate polo with nice clothes and not so much watch maker

Gonna get the gorgeous Sinn U1. Anyone have one? I hear its quite heavy so worried about putting it with a Nato strap.

What do you all think looks best strap wise with the U1?

Its coming on rubber

Nope, most designer watches are just quartzs with the price jacked up.I'm also super skeptical of magazines like GQ and Esquire wanting me to see a watch, because usually it means it was paid to be placed there and not because of its own merit. In general when you get into the 5 figure range for designer watches they're usually pretty solid in terms of value/craftsmanship (because most designers aren't competing in that range), but still i'd usually choose one of the more traditional watch brands before a fashion brand.

Still in love with the watch. So versatile. I picked up a black rubber strap so I can pretty much wear it any day with any outfit. So many customizations and options and the integration with the phone is seamless and intuitive.

Plus now I can have those omegas I can't afford!

that looks like a fake omega. the "seamaster" font is really, really off, datewheel looks terrible, and I don't see an actual GMT hand.

Plus I don't think I've even seen one that looks like that to begin with.

I like their in house moonphase but not big on that one. Besides, didn't you just get a 7750 based watch?

What does the FC offer that your recently acquired Eterna doesn't?

have you gone and tried it on? If not i would highly recommend it.

Omega, to me, has created a lot of pieces that have good movements and provide good value, i just haven't liked how they feel when i wear them, but that is highly subjective.

You can also get pretty good discounts on a lot of them so i wouldn't pull the trigger just because its an omega and its at a good discount.

That's a 7750 based omega, not in house. What are the used prices on that piece, they can't be that high. It's a good looking watch but nothing about it jumps out to me.

You should def try it on.

Finally got my Baldieri. Very cool...already got two comments on it. It's big and bold and not as heavy as it looks.

I think it looks pretty sweet. Visible lug screws work well.

Also, consider upgrading from a Motorola StarTec and then getting a free photo app and adjusting the white balance to neutral, it only takes 1-2 clicks.
