That is one of my only issues with it too.. not a huge fan of different hand tips (ala Omega).

Watch is bought though! I couldn't pass the deal (came with both leather and rubber straps). Figure I can flip it at no loss if I need to.

The Zenith will happen this year too.. at some point.

jlc and zenith new or used? zenith's take a brutal depreciation hit

It was JLC used and Zenith new.

Your point is for sure on the money.. plus you can see Zenith discounts to 'retail' are much larger. Overall, I'm a little surprised there isn't more demand for the Zeniths.. they are really outstanding I think.

I would just save up for a Seiko Sumo.

Or if you don't wanna save up, Orient Blue Mako is nice (for the price especially).

SARB045 is around $500 maybe?

Also if you can find one SARB009 should be cheaper than the 045.

little steep in price, not a huge fan of the blue bezel either, more looking for just a blue face

could live with the blue bezel on this on for the price, might pull the trigger actually while the 50% off coupons still work

this "Thresher" might be better than the Ray. How can you tell how "good" a movement is?

Speaking of Baselworld, I thought that the Baume & Mercier Capeland Flyback Chronograph with black dial was going to be presented there, but I can't seem to find any pictures.

Any info on that? Googling isn't getting me anywhere because I get a million hits about the white one.

Popped my Rolex cherry. I made a goal of being financially secure enough this year to buy myself a Rollie, and I picked up this vintage classic on ebay for $2k shipped earlier this week. Everything original on it, except the crystal is aftermarket sapphire, and the links are all aftermarket SS/14K. The clasp is original and looks great. I feel like a million bucks, at a fraction of the cost

Congrats on that Rolo.. nice work, enjoy it...

Since it's rare to talk straps on here, figured I'd snap a little tread switch on my two Panerai's... 312 outfitted with a strap from Rob Montana www.thestrapsmith.com - great work and nice guy and the 000 on the OEM Assolutamente strap. Not many PAM fans in this mix from what I've seen, but maybe this changes some folks...

For the minimalist.

Jean-Claude Biver, president of the watch company, told AFP that it would be difficult to make a more expensive watch "because the surface of the watch is limited."

Hublot is like the grown-up Jacob and Co for people who once heard someone talk about how movements are important.

Anyone know anything about Bulova as a maker?

Got recomended one of their skeleton models (below) by a coked up nut job of a watch salesmen I know, but have to take everything he says with a large punch of salt, and cant find that many reviews online.
