It's Hublot, "gimmicky" is their whole schtick.

Franck Muller is probably kicking himself for not thinking of that speedup/slowdown thing first.

+1 I've always loved Crazy Hours.

Another goofy one I stumbled across a while ago.

I had never seen this specific color scheme before (it's a Grand Prix de Monaco Historique Chronograph), but I'm totally in love:

ebay has a Invicta Mens Bolt Swiss GMT Watch Signature 7252 for $199.95. Seems like a great deal as Amazon has it listed at $350 with msrp being $1200
Any opinions on this. Want it to wear daily in an office environment.

Don't pay attention to the MSRP - especially with Invicta. It's completely meaningless. Most people seem to love or hate this brand. They have a pretty weak reputation when it comes to quality control. Doesn't mean this isn't a good deal, though. Just be aware that this brand can be very hit-or-miss and make sure you can get it replaced if you get a dud. I own one Invicta and I'm actually very happy with it (except for the crystal scratching too easily) I've owned it for 5 years and it's always kept great time.

Thanks, so I assume they come up with some inflated msrp that they force no one to sell for?

50mm in "an office environment" will likely look ridiculous.

42 will only look funny if you have really small wrists.

44 is when watches start to look noticeably big on an average sized guy imo.

46 looks weird if you're not a very big dude.

And 50 looks funny if you're not Shaq.

fwiw, I have average sized wrists and I consider 42-43 mm to be the sweet spot.

Just got myself a new Parnis for 63 bucks. It's an automatic, and it's keeping great time so far. I don't know much about the brand, other than it's Chinese and very affordable, but I am extremely impressed.

I know this is way cheaper than most of you would ever go, but for us non-ballers it's a winner.

Here's a pic. (looks better in person tho)

If anyone is interested, this site has some nice Panerai homages too (I'm pretty sure Marina Militare is the same company as Parnis), but make sure you register on the site first, because the prices show up much lower when you are logged in.

Parnis mostly uses Seagull movements in their automatics and Chinese 6497 and 6498 clones in their handwinds.

Decent for the price you are paying and probably the cheapest way to get a mechanical with some simple complications such as power reserve, hand winding, hacking.

I have been thinking of getting the Parnis UBoat knock off, just to satisfy my urge to get an obnoxiously large mechanical watch without spending a bunch of dough and regretting it in 5-minutes.

Marina Militare is a Panerai model name, nothing to do with Parnis.

I have a Parnis Portuguese homage that I got because I didn't want to swing the cash for the real thing. It's decent, but it'll always stick in my mind that it's a substitute. Much better than Alpha for similar money, though.

I am aware that Marina Militare is a Panerai model, but it there is also a knockoff brand called Marina Militare, and it's made by Parnis.

See the link: http://www.manbushijie.com/

Watchuseek even has a sticky thread about it in their Affordable Watches forum: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f71/abo...ts-316289.html
