Alright I'll take a crack at it

big silver hands 10:10 are time

blue hand pointing to 9 retrograde date it's the 9th

1989 is the year, 1 is possibly years in to the leap year

I'm guessing sonneire on the left is PR and the hand outside of it is GMT

Two other big hands in blue are doppelchrono

movement on the right is trust index and minute chrono counter

at six we have seconds, moon phase and temp(WTF)

DIM and AVR are going to be day and month, don't ask me which is which but if I had to guess I'd say DIM is the day.

BAR is prob French or whatever for wind hands and neutral

on the back

idk star patterns and gmt and ****

wtf

Yeah DIM is the day (sunday).
On the back at 8 and 16 are sunset and sunrise.

And in blue "Dates de paques" is Easter Date (?)
There's also the four seasons written in red between the gold number and the zodiac symbols.

if you're ever in geneva this is on display in the patek museum. there's an entire room dedicated to it.

yea this thing is sick, there's also a hand on the front I missed. Big blue one pointing at 8. It seems like a GMT which would make the 9/10 subdial an hour totalizer for the chrono which makes sense.

I looked up easter dates http://translate.google.com/translat...%26prmd%3Divns all I can guess is this was made in a time when that was relevant.

The sick thing is I bet anything this has a minute repeater and a tourbillon in it.

I'm not usually a huge fan of perpetual calendars but I think having the sunrise and sunset on a watch would actually be sick.

I still prefer the RM at a measly 9% of the cost.

Here's the list of complications:

Day of the month
12-hour recorder
Day of the week
Hour of second time-zone
Moon phase display
Winding crown position indicator
Century decade and year displays
Leap Year Indicator
Power reserve
Month
Thermometer
Date of Easter
Time of sunrise
Equation of time
Star chart
Sun hand
Time of sunset
Split second hand

It's not particularly practical. Weighing over 2 lbs. Probably wouldn't be good for playing tennis with.

There's only one way to wear a piece that exquisite!

I also assume its roughly that size.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it has a minute repeater, given the "sonnerie" on the dial and the slider-looking thing on the right side (looking at the "standard" dial). And knowing patek, a hidden tourby would not be surprising at all.

As a side note, if you know anything about signaling and countersignaling, putting a tourby in a watch and NOT displaying it is like the sickest countersignal ever.

To give you an idea of what that is, it's less than four quarters, and a Rolex Submariner is probably 120-140 grams.
Nadals 500k RM tourb is so light it actually floats when tossed in water, crazy, didn't hear about him misplacing it.

What's the point of stealing something that's one of a kind. You can't really sell it, and you certainly can't wear it. Meh.

I think in the history of theft, the risk/reward ratio is totally in the red. Nuts though.

people steal famous artworks all the time. I'm sure there is some private collector that wouldn't mind having that watch.

Isn't more than of those watches? I mean...it's still going to be impossible to sell it or do anything like that so it makes it effectively 1 of a kind since they all probably come with serial numbers. I just thought that they made like 20 or 50 or something of these when I read about it a while ago.

It's pretty easy to imagine a player who simply dislikes Nadal and wanted to take something from him just for resentment purposes.

are you guys serious? I'd steal it in a second and wear it all the time.

Odds of me getting caught are as likely as me running in to someone who knows what a Richard Mille watch is, knows what model number I'm wearing and knows what serial number mine is, as well as what Nadal's was!

Pretty high risk but I fly high what can I say?

The article said it was custom made, one of a kind for Nadal. I just figured it was unique and there was nothing else that looked like it. Obviously if there are 50 or whatever, ignore my comment. But with all the publicity the story got, and if the watch is truly unique, if you wear it then good luck.

Looking for a watch with a brown leather strap and white face, prefer silver colored bezel to gold. Prefer roman numerals on the dial and not opposed to any features (chrono, day/date, power reserve, skeleton etc), though I'd rather not have it too "busy". Willing to spend 5k or less..maybe more if it's a sick deal.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Something like this, but again, prefer roman numerals or no numbers.

I assume it also comes in brown strap? What's the price on that?

Looking bag on the thread, I'm a big fan of the portofino from post #5040. Anyone have the model number on that? Can't find it on any of the online watch stores.
