Goddammit…One of the funniest people ever…his podcast was one I’d listen to religiously - very funny and fun discussions with Old Hollywood stars and comedians.

I unabashedly loved Gilbert Gottfried. I am sad.

If you have never had the chance, you MUST check out the long-running Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast. In it, Gilbert and his co-host welcome various famous character actors, comedians, and other notables from Old Timey Hollywood.

Gilbert has an amazing memory for old movies and songs, and he always a delight. It can also get quite filthy and rumor filled - like the rumor that Marlon Brando and Richard Pryor had sex.

My favorite one is probably when he Ron Liebman and Jessica Walters on together...the married couple was hilarious.

Only 3 months ago...now they're all gone.

Gottfried managed to be a brilliant comedian, and every kid I went through high school with, at the same time.

Daryle Lamonica died, a great Oakland Raiders qb during the late 60s and early 70s, one of my childhood heroes, the Mad Bomber. You could probably make a case for him being in the HoF, he was that dominant for a few years. Alas he seemed to have a knack for getting injured and/or playing poorly in very big games, and then Kenny Stabler came along and took his job. Good-looking guy too, always reminded me a little of a young Burt Reynolds.

I remember Daryle Lamonica very well. The Raiders were sure a fun team to watch and follow in those years.

Grew up on a ranch in the Central Valley. Clovis High School and Notre Dame.

Two-time AFL MVP.

Played in the Heidi game.

Very fun to watch the Mad Bomber.
