RIP Dusty. He was the primary lead on vocals until Eliminator. By then his voice had changed and Billy Gibbons took over. Great showman, their live performances were 100% enjoyment. They would draw huge crowds in the 70s, and toured around the world, with strong following in UK and Germany. After their hiatus in the late 70s their music only got better. They moved into the synth world and their studio stuff was basically only Gibbons playing, but they had no problem performing stuff off of Eliminator, Afterburner, and Recycler live.

Dusty would always sing Legs at their concerts, a crowd favorite.

Not sure if they keep touring, I checked out their web site and no changes yet.

Wow. They only say "he died peacefully in his sleep."

I'm not the biggest fan of their music, but it's awful to see someone die this young.

I learned to slow dance to this one. The Harptones were big around New York, but apparently never went nationwide.

A crusty old guy who owns this huge (read: millions of records) record store in Philly. Is into doo-wop (though he calls it 'group harmony records'.
