Jab, given your history and taste, plus some of the stuff you have posted, get some Bill Evans, especially the stuff with Scottie LaFaro on bass. Kind of cliched to cite them, but
Waltz for Debbie and
Sunday at the Village Vanguard earn their status.
Two of my favorites are Hampton Hawes, and Wynton Kelly. Hamp is funky as a bag full of ***holes, and Wynton (who often gets overlooked) swings no less hard. Wynton's album
Kelly Blue is a personal favorite.
