I'd just get a Filson briefcase in navy or maybe one of their collaborations, and then leave 2 pairs of loafers in my desk at work. Probably one pair of light brown suede tassle loafers and one pair of dark brown (maybe cordovan) dressier ones.

Yep was about to say you should get a Filson thing. I absolutely love my briefcase and small duffel.

Actually I have a barely used medium field bag in tan that I'd sell to a 2+2er. No idea what these things are worth, maybe $175? I want a 72 hour briefcase and I really can't justify buying one if I still have the field bag.

It's probably unhealthy how much I love my Filson briefcase. I wish I traveled more so I could justify buying more of their stuff.

Jeez, you buying these things retail? Had no idea what bags cost, fancy stuff itt.

I prob should do the loafers at the desk but I don't own any yet and I just picked up some strands I'm looking to get involved without putting 2 miles / day on em so I figured I'd carry...

DF I gotta consider a bit more about what I'm looking for but might just buy that off you.

And nah I don't really have a laptop so kinda n/a for now.

Something like

I'm not sure if the size will work but I have a Herschel duffel bag that I really like and it is a good amount cheaper then some of the other brands.

I've been eyeing these boots but have avoided getting them. So far ...

spending all the money and buying nonsense is never a problem as long as you don't have children.
being reasonable = yawn.

tldr:
buy the boots.

Getting together an outfit for a casual summer wedding.

Currently I have a white linen shirt and a pair of very light grey chino's that should work.

I am thinking about getting the Olive neumok's for shoes and a light blazer. Something like http://www.massimodutti.com/webapp/w...ER&colorId=802

I have bought two watches, a watch strap, a dress shirt from ratio clothing and a pair of Allen Edmonds shoes this month.

I experienced this in NYC last summer. But it is a popular suit place and each retail person will be with clients for like 10-15 minutes minimum so I wasn't so shocked. But yah it sucks when you want to drop $500 and can't get anyone's attention.

They def need a better sitting / queuing area. With solid espresso.

Now I'm slightly stronger / fatter so my brother is probably gonna freeroll yet again.

I've got me a Filson brief in navy. I like it but almost feels a bit large for my day to day needs. Also without the strap I think it looks too man pursey and with it the bag feels a bit bulky. Maybe I'll look at some slim tumis if I decide to ebay this piece.

Which do you have? There's a few briefcases and some of them can get pretty bulky if they're the padded ones.

Can anyone recommend a slim card or ID case with dual windows? My current wallet allows me to display train pass or work ID but not both. Would love one with a display panel on either side and space for a few cards in the middle.

Not exactly what your looking for. I use this as my wallet and keep train pass on one side and debit card on the other. You could put train pass on one side and ID on the other. Room for cash and cards inside.

Anybody like a store in NYC or online for ties? I need to get a tie for a wedding. I have a light blue shirt with a navy suit. I could also wear a white shirt with my navy suit.

Also, anybody rocking a cool new pair of sunglasses now that summer is starting?

a lot of people will snob out on me for this probably, but thetiebar.com is a great site for ties. the quality is comparable to stuff you would pay 50-75 per tie at retail but their stuff is all 15 bucks. i have a bunch of higher end ties as well as the typical mid range stuff (brooks brothers etc)... my tiebar ties are the ones that consistently get complimented.

You guys like this tie to go with a navy suit?

Would this also work with a black suit and white shirt?

I'm triyng to decide whether to go navy or black suit for a summer wedding and then off of that buy a shirt/tie combo and get shoes.

If I go black suit I'm going to buy black shoes and go white shirt. If I go navy I'm thinking AE Park Avenues with a white shirt and the above mentioned Kent Wang tie.

Any suggestions welcome.

Yes. Yes...but you should never wear a black suit unless:

* You're a waiter.
* You're a funeral director.

What color Park Avenues? Everything else is fine.
