I just got an email from a local men's store.

Quote:
We are also having a special showing of Allen Edmonds Shoes with a 14.92% discount on your entire AE purchase until Saturday, Sept. 21.
wut

I guess this might have something to do with ... columbus day? but the email didn't mention anything about columbus day and that's not until... october?

Bought this tie from Kent Wang. Most I've ever spent on a tie at $85.

But I loved the way it matched with this custom shirt I have on order from ratioclothing.

new to the thread, a while back someone said to never tuck a shirt in with jeans? do most people agree with this?

also opinion on corduroys? they seem to look good for autumn/winter and come in the appropriate colors for the seasons but they're a bit "old man-ish" aren't they? (i hope i'm not offending anybody).

The tuck depends on where you are. In NYC guys very often wear dress shirts tucked in. You don't want to leave a super long dress shirt untucked. Other parts of the county people seem to think a tuck is weird but I think a majority of those over 25 tuck with dress shirts.

Cords are great for fall / winter but need to find a good cut.

LOL Banana Republic and all but they have a pretty decent sale going on right now. I like their polos

I tried tucking in shirts with jeans twice and both times got comments that I look like a cowboy. So that was that.

I'm not a fan of corduroy but I've seen younger people pull it off. In general it definitely has an old person look to it.

I think with black shoes, you'd avoid the cowboy look (just assuming you were wearing brown/brown boots).

I think I'll opt for Chinos instead.

Anybody interested in a $35 gift card for AE shoes? I just had my park avenues recrafted and the store gave me this card which is good for the next 75 days.

It says it is redeemable at AE Stores, AE.com and select authorized dealers. Not valid w/ any other offers, only regular priced shoes, etc.

I'm not going to be using it, so if anyone is interested I can pm the code (for online purchases), or I can mail the physical card for offline purchase.

might as well just buy some smaller things with it, shoe conditioner, trees, etc.

Does it self-generate cash?

I bought a Prada leather wallet 6 years ago for about $300 and it still looks awesome, I think its one of those things that guys can spend money without it being ostentatious.

spending that much on a wallet is jsut ******ed, do you even have it out enough to care how it looks? you can buy 1 for like $20, itll serve the same purpose and look roughly the same.

You can say that for basically everything in this thread.

And yes, you take it out literally every time you pay for something. That's often. Its high quality and it looks good.

"Go To Hell"

Basically it's a summer niche prep style, particularly seen at outdoor events (yachting and polo in particular). Bright pants (and sometimes sport coats, ties etc), sometimes in loud patterns (madras, nantucket reds, etc).

Women don't care about the looks of your wallet. It's what's on the inside that matters most.
