I think he means the bathroom fight scene at the beginning of the 2006 version.

Movie with a non-nude sex scene (actual intercourse or oral sex is implied - not just making out)
i take it means a movie with an implied sex scene?

In that case I take Belle Du Jour by Luis Bunuel. Catherine Deneuve plays a housewife who is unable to control her urge of being a prostitute. Despite having no nudity, this movie is extremely erotic. Deveuve is entrancing and delivers an intense performance, as scene after scene men have their way with her. Bunuel depicted various acts, bizarre episodes and depravities with creativity; leaving raunchy parts to imagination, but always being clear about what is taking place. however, in the end Bunuel manages to leave the viewer second guessing in the end about what he has just seen.

The Earrings of Madame De... (clothing/accessory)
Lucky Number Slevin (Bruce Willis)
Raging Bull (B/W color)
Kes (animal)
The Pirate (pre 1950, color, no Oscars)
Killer of Sheep (soundtrack better than the movie)
Greed (SF)
Belle De Jour (sex, no nudity)

Worst writeup ever when you post a pic proving there was a nude scene for a non-nude pick

there were many scenes in there, not just one. i was just recycling images from my previous write up, which illustrate that Deneuve is flawless.

Just reading through the draft and I can see some people wanted a couple of movies I picked. Since I left the draft, all these movies are available to anyone who wants them:

Alpha Dog
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
28 Days Later
The Silence of the Lambs

Carry on.

No they're not. Dom said those films are off the board. I would have taken 28DL if he hadn't ruled that way.

Anyway, I think it's on me pretty much and I'm going out for the night so...

For the clothing/accessories category, I'm taking another awesome John Carpenter films, this time They Live for the fact that the entire movie's plot is based on sunglasses, and it has this scene in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsZpdUUdd3I

Actually, you just skipped four people. But I'm pretty sure that movie's safe. Very safe. Extremely safe. Like ISM Super Platinum (UL TRTL-60x6) safe.

Nice photoshop there. PJ has a 'thing' for lousy John Carpenter movies.

Actually, GIMP2 - can't afford Photoshop. I don't rake in the dough like those high-flyin' English profs who can put tweed patches on leather jackets and ruin both just for giggles.

(Isn't "lousy" with "John Carpenter" redundant?)

I'm taking a debut film of an actor born post-1970. I am taking Jordan Nagai's debut film.
Spoiler:

A lot of the picks in this category (Godfather, I'm looking at you) are for actors/actresses who were barely present in the movie. Allowing the category to be "Pick a movie with a baby that was made post-1970". [i]Up]/i] was Jordan Nagai's first film, it is an outstanding movie and he is at the second lead in the film. He gives one of my favorite voice acting performances in any Disney movie as he captures the exhilarating youthful combination of ignorance and enthusiasm, while being hilarious. There is a line early in the movie as Carl first starts flying his house where Russel sincerely says "You know, most people take a plane, but you're smart because you'll have all your TV and clocks and stuff. " Firstly the kid nails the line, but secondly I love how well it captures the logic and ignorance of kids, Russel really thinks that this is a good idea because Carl can keep his possessions instead of just hopping on a plane.

It's one of my favorite movies of the past decade, it's a really funny touching movie, the art work, voice work and score are all top notch and eventhough I have seen it several times I still get choked up at the end.

Yes, I am the tweedy type.

as for Catherine D. being naked in Belle Du Jour, I'll allow it as long as she's not naked IN THE SEX SCENE.

Godfather's looking right back!

Actually, I thought calling her an "actress" was the more disreputable part of that pick.

But I made that pick a long time ago, when I was younger and trying to be clever. I guess now, with all of my experience, and maybe a little wisdom, I'd probably choose Matt Damon in Mystic Pizza when he said: “Mom, do you want my green stuff?”

(I think "a lot" is misleading though - most of the picks seem very legit in this category.)

Up is a good movie and Jordan did a good job of making his character endearing and not annoying (I'm talking to you, Sofia!)

Fantastic pick! I love this movie a lot.

I am not ashamed to admit I cried at the married life montage.

I loved Dug.

Guess it's time to skip Dom and pick from what I think is a tough category for non-foreign films:

For my 8th round pick in the 1974-1976 restricted category I choose the domestic and wild:

Blazing Saddles (1974)

The first film with farting, so some say. Comedy gold in the 8th round.

How is it he doesn't get top billing. Look at the pic at imdb:

Meryl Streep - Bruce Willis - Goldie Hawn all in a row.

All the pics I googled had the same thing - Willis is a headliner.

Seems like you may have to dig deeper....like Ein Guru kommt deeper.

This brings us back to Woman of the Dunes. I assume Mr.Cole is alluding to the bathing scene. Naked imo...
