I just watched this documentary and HBO and thought it was great.
Watch the trailer here.
It's the story of Paul and Sally Traylor. The couple have both been deaf since birth but decide, at the age of 65, to undergo a new cochlear implant surgery. With a successful surgery, they will be able to hear for the first time in their lives.
The documentary starts shortly before the surgery and ends about one year after it. The filmmaker (the couple's daughter) focuses more on the emotional impact on the Paul and Sally rather than any technical aspects of the surgery.
Who else has seen this?
