I am voting. After much deliberation, thought, reflection and other serious sounding words, I have come to the conclusion that I am voting for Lee L. Mercer, Jr.

You should do the same.

Why Mr. Mercer you ask? I'll tell you. Mercer is a man who loves run-on sentences. I'm not sure there is anything more awesome than that.

Mercer also claims that he has "1 million U.S. Military Intelligence Negro Female Lawyers and All the Negro Certified Public Accountants." I'm not sure what that means, but it sounds pretty righteous.

He also has stated, "I will be the 2nd Negro President of the United States of America in 2008."

Mercer needs your vote on November 4, but more importantly, you need to vote Mercer on Nov. 4.

I guess that's a fair point, so I'll compromise.

In 2012, if it's a really close race and I live in a swing state and Jesus is running against Hitler, I'll vote.

(Assuming I'm free and not too hungover on election day. And it's gotta be the Black Jesus, too--not that white imposter with the wavy brown hair.)

Lee L. Mercer, Jr needs you like a penny needs a wishing well, like a heart needs a beat, like Ben Affleck needs acting school.

I think you need to vote every year to earn your right to complain about the state of the US Gov't. I have a standing agreements with my friends that if they don't vote I will hit them if they enter any political conversation. Plus it's not just about the president. There are a ton of local elections and referendums that are a hell of a lot more important to you than McCain or Obama being president. And those many times DO come down to a handful of votes. The best thing that could ever happen to thing country is for a heated issue to go one way or the other by a single vote.
