Assuming y'all are correct that tax breaks to the ultra rich will benefit poor people, why are we not constantly fundraising & setting up GoFundMe's to get rich people even more money?

I also didn't suggest that the subsidy would promote economic growth. The reason I (and most people that like the subsidy on electric cars) is we think it might actually be good for the planet.

And on that, most people (that aren't idiots) would argue a subsidy is more in line with other subsidies like food stamps or medicare, which would make the idea more aligned with being a Democrat.

I am not setting up gofundme's for anyone so I'm not sure who this "we" is supposed to mean. The idea that cutting taxes on the rich helps the poor is that the rich are more productive with their assets than the poor and far more productive than government. Are you suggesting otherwise?

99% of GFM's are set up with an emotional pull for money and who doesn't love a sap story of someone who has made terrible decisions/gotten unlucky but deserves a 10th chance?

The point is that it isn't the subsidy that is good for the environment, but it is that the more people driving e-cars the better for the planet. This is caused by the government collecting tax money from (mostly) the rich and giving it to e-car buyers. Which i strongly disagree with since they are already avoiding the taxes in gas that are meant to repair roads.

Giving people tax rebates or cutting taxes is essential the same thing and that was my overall point that you were attempting to side-step.

Less than $1 billion shifted from the Pentagon for less than 60 miles of wall, so Congress will now take away the Pentagon's future ability to shift funds already designated for something else, because Senators and Representatives hate their pork projects being pulled out from under them.

The current wall project won't be done until late-2020 at best. So he's left with around 1850 miles of non-wall with a very limited ability to shift more funds for building any more, not to mention all of the upcoming court injunctions and cases, along with all manner of eminent domain problems that will come with the party of Less Government trying to steal private property from farmers and ranchers to build this boondoggle.
