Idea: We each put $100k+ in a generic MF or ETF that invests in the S&P. In 4 years the winner gets 1/10th of the account, 4 years later the winner of the bet gets 1/9th, etc. So we assume we both live for 40ish years. Once we get pen to paper I will send you the $10k you won off of me for this WC (that would be separate from the 100k I have to put into the account). If either of us dies before the 40 years are up the living person & dead person's estate splits the account.

Between these 2 posts and the rest of your posts in the past few days ITT I assume you are really smart. Man it sure seems like you have the better side of the bet - you might want to put a rush on this to make sure I don't change my mind.

I'm confused, why would I need to continue a bet that you already lost? I don't think there is a way for you to un-lose it in the future.

The only way I have already lost a bet is if one of us dies in the next 4 years. As the terms of the bet we are betting $10k EVERY four years. Ever world cup the US makes you give me $10k. Every world cup the US doesn't make I give you $10k.

If you think you already won the bet let's do it. Once we get the $200k in place and a contract signed I am going to send you $10k immediately after the bet gets finalized.

Remember if one of us dies before the bet is finalized we split the account 50/50.
