Basically they're offering this guy, who did nothing else but screw up a play for the home team by interfering with a potential catch, $25,000 to show up at an event and sign an autograph. It has been rumored that he has received far more lucrative offers than this and has yet to cash in on any of them. I think my head might explode if he doesn't take this offer to the bank.

The funny part is that after Alou got traded, he said that he still wouldn't have caught the ball if bartman had not interfered... ouch

alou flipped flop on the statement a few times iirc and bartman kept being brought back under the gun by cubs fans
