I disagree.

Flex to reassert dominance, then punt the f***ing thing.

You were being nice by paying attention to that waste of space POS cat.

It lashed out for no reason. Reggie Roby time, imo.

As for the cat owner... I s**t on their lawn for the next seven days.

you did fine

you should have requested a band-aid obv, thus bringing attention to the fact that the stupid cat drew blood

This is actually a very complicated situation, you must be trying to do the neighbour, and in that case giving the cat a deserved smack can mess you up. The best option is to grab the cat by the scruff of the neck and loftily lob her onto the head of your neighbour, the neighbour will react in a violent manner to the enranged cat, unwittingly punishing it on your behalf.

You can then act all apologetic and sympathetic and score later.

Womenaments
Pretty cat n00by to not pay attention to the cat, but yeah, this. Depends on strength of open slap, if you WENT ALL-IN I'd say she's correct in hating your cat-hating ass. Otherwise, post above.

Because it wants to play?

According to you:
A: Dog rolls over, wants their belly rubbed
B: Therefore, every mammal resembling dogs who rolls over want their belly rubbed

What the hell are you supposed to do, sit there and let it keep clawing you? "Excuse me, would you kindly remove your cat's claws from eye sockets? I'd appreciate it, thank you dearly!"

A cat person would deftly twist their arm 90 degrees (to free himself from the claws) and quickly withdraw it at an angle facing away from said claws, thus causing no further damage. TRY AGAIN SUCKA!!!

I just reread the OP, and this part is life-tilting me.

Forget the stupid cat that wouldnt exist without human help.

C*nt Punt the stupid neighbor, seriously.. she saw you were being kind to the cat and you got scratched and torn clothes.

Bill her for the damaged clothing and go to the doctor for the scratches, say it turns out that you are allergic and broke out from it and had to take off work.. hence she owes you a days pay as well.

Your description of what you did to the cat.. "open-hand slapped across the head" is actually pretty tame considering the all-out attack the feline made on you.

You couldve punched it or kicked it. The fact she picked it up also is life tilting me to no end.

And this is exactly why dogs >>>>>>>> cats

I mean cmon. You wear gloves to pet your cat? How stupid is that...

I really hate how cats are so unpredictable and selfish. I don't need to be scratched all of a sudden. My dog used to love "playbiting" as well, but as soon as I put my fist in it's mouth it would keep its mouth wide open and move its head backwards trying to avoid my fist, and then lick it meekly. It's like when you do some fake fighting as a kid with a friend and make sure you never actually hit him for real.

Cats stink.
