This randomly depressed me today:

A Chocolate-headed Gull in a McDonalds car park was waiting by a car full of people eating junk food, hoping they would feed it. They didn't and he moved onto the next car when they went and waited there. We were 200 yards from the sea-shore, which is where he should be finding his own food and living a natural life.

Last week:

A Chaffinch in my garden had a deformed foot and was trying to forage for food under the bird table and the other birds were chasing it away.

This is the kind of thing that depresses hell out of me.
