No. A sandwich is meat between two pieces of bread. Bun is one piece. I suppose if you tore bun in two then it would be.

so according to you, neither a hoagie nor a grilled cheese sandwich is a sandwich. interesting

A sandwich is sliced bread imo.
A hoagie is a roll and not a sandwich.
Grilled cheese sandwich is pretty obvious.
Hamburger is not a sandwich, it uses a bun.
Hot dog uses a bun.

Why is this hard to comprehend?

why would you need "sliced" bread to make a sandwich. that doesnt make any sense. whether the bread is fully sliced or stopped partially through should not matter.

ya but put a chicken patty in between those buns and it's universally called a "chicken sandwich"

I know coming up poor, we sometimes ate hamburgers AND hot dogs on white bread instead of buns. So the bun argument is irrelevant in that case. However, I wouldn't call a hot dog a sandwhich....it just sounds wrong. haha

What appeared to be such a tame question may cause the end of BBV4L.

I give it two days before an ATF thread about splitting the BBV4L into two forums.

V4L Variance for life (I will be a volunteer to mod in this one then brag about it in the other one that will cause me to loose my mod status at which point I will bitch in both forums!)
