I recently lied on a rental application about my income & employment. I did this because I wouldn't have to put down a security deposit on the apartment if I had sufficient income. My credit and rental history is spotless. At the time I talked myself into thinking it would work perfectly but now I am worried and feeling guilty. Does anyone know anything about the workings of leasing companies? Would a simple background check show that I'm full of it?

I'm going to feel like an idiot if the guy calls me back & asks about it. Not having to pay that security deposit just seemed like free money :durp:

also my lease is up next week so I need this **** to work out. I'm not really up for craigslisting my way into sharing an apartment with some pedo or grad student for a month. I don't think they would take kindly to my lifestyle.

if your credit score is spotless, you shouldn't have a problem. except, i'm surprised they didn't ask for your last three months of paycheck stub. if you get caught just find a new apartment and stop being a no-ball-having-worry-wart-pussy-geek.

My first few weeks as a freshman, wondering the campus, I was alarmed and kind of disgusted by the number of homeless just hanging out around the university.
