Itt: Why music videos suck

I just figured it out. I never watch music videos cuz I hate them, but I'm being forced to as the song I want to *Obtain Legally* isn't *Obtaining Legally*.
So to youtube to watch I went!
And it struck me. Which didn't really hurt like being struck usually does.
The video would switch to a new shot < every 2 seconds. So, for a 4 minute song, that's ~120 2 second shots. And that's a conservative estimate.
Now, this is an older video, but I've noticed it become more the norm over time. Wtf is this ****? Like I need to have seizures to enjoy music.

that's why you should listen to interesting music because it tends to have interesting videos. Take radioheads no surprises video, 1 long shot the whole way, or bjorks 'all is full of love' featuring lesbian robots

yeh, some clips are really good and enhance the song listening experience, but as you pointed out, and i agree with, the 2 seconds or less cuts to new scenes are really annoying.

Most music videos just show random **** that doesn't make sense.
With that said there are some singers you need the video for it to be enjoyable; ie Alizee. Does anyone have a single .mp3 of one of her songs? I don't.
