Cause I sometimes download .flv videos from Youtube with The Download helper firefox extention, and play those with windows media player or media player classic.
yeah camtasia can save it as a .gif, after you screen cap the clip it will ask you what you want to do with the file, click produce in shareable format (or something close to that) and then chose the .gif file extension...then open the gif in imageready (if you have it, i'm sure other programs work but idk them) **** around with the delay time and stuff until it looks good and then save it, its pretty easy
