The Isle of Man... The Isle of Man...

The Isle of Man is located in the middle of the northern Irish Sea, approximately equidistant from the islands of Great Britain and Ireland, within the British Isles. The closest land is southern Scotland. It is 52 kilometres (32 mi) long and, at its widest point, 22 kilometres (14 mi) wide. It has an area of around 572 square kilometres (221 sq mi).[32] Besides the island of Mann itself, the political unit of the Isle of Man includes some nearby small islands: the seasonally inhabited Calf of Man, Chicken Rock on which stands an unmanned lighthouse, St Patrick's Isle and St Michael's Isle. Both of the latter are connected to the mainland by permanent roads/causeways.

At the 2006 interim census,[38] Mann was home to 80,058 people, of whom 26,218 resided in the island's capital, Douglas. Most of the population was born in the British Isles, with 47.6% born in Mann, 37.2% born in England, 3.4% in Scotland, 2.1% in Northern Ireland, 2.1% in the Republic of Ireland, 1.2% in Wales and 0.3% born in the Channel Islands. The remaining 6.1% were born elsewhere in the world

The Isle of Man has a temperate climate, with cool summers and mild winters. Average rainfall is higher than the average for the British Isles, due to its location at a sufficient distance from Ireland for moisture to be accumulated by the prevailing south-westerly winds. Average rainfall is highest at Snaefell, where it is around 1,900 millimetres (75 in) a year. At lower levels it can be around 800 millimetres (31 in) a year. Temperatures remain fairly cool, with the recorded maximum being 28.9 °C (84.0 °F) at Ronaldsway.

I wasn't blown away when I went there. If you want to go to a Western European island that is part of the UK it's Jersey ftw. It is so awesome New Jersey was named after it (and look how well that worked out). Even better, according to the CIA World Factbook, it is number 7 on the global list for GDP per capita.

Put that in your pipe Manx bumpkins!

Sup.

Pokerstars have jobs going all the time, but word on the street is they usually just steal their staff from the company that they share a building with, so actually getting a job there is rather hard.

There is 1 casino, it's in the capital. There are no cash games. They have a tournament once a week on a sunday, but iirc it doesn't run all year round. Hardly any1 shows up and the structure is lolz.

Basically the Isle of Man is a ****hole.

Only reason da33le lives there is because of his social life and all the going out to parties and **** and meeting girls and taking pictures and doing whatever the hell he wants and not having to worry about anything in the entire world because everything is going to work out just fine and there's nothing that can go wrong in his life.

OH HELL YES OP!
They don't have deemsters in the Phillipines or the Carribean!
[with good reason...]

btw, that 3-legged thing w/ the red background?
It's NOT a bad Monty Python skit.
It's their flag.

Visiting the Isle of Man at any time other than TT week is stupid imo. During TT week it's as busy as I imagine a real city to be. Also seeing all the bikes going mental is always fun.
