I bet there's a correlation between intelligence and circumcision/religiosity. That is to say I would think that unmutilated males have on average a higher IQ than those who have been mutilated. Of course this relation is entirely correlative and not causal whatsoever.

I come from a middle class Canadian family of (reasonably) intelligent people (six people, six degrees, given that that is a rather arbitrary metric). We are all atheists. I was not mutilated as a child. For what it's worth, I was also not baptized.

Being baptized, mutilated and religious are all indicators of lower intelligence IMO. No surprise the US is among the league leaders in all those categories.

lolz

In case someone hasn't explained it, circumcision is common in US because of the Victorian era anti-masturbation boom. They assumed it is much harder to masturbate without a foreskin and began chopping it off. It is essentially ******ed the same way as actually using a chastity belt on children to prevent them from masturbating would be.

It has become like a natural part of lolamericans' life though, even if it is declining. Meh, if you think the kid will seriously get assraped in school and scorned by gurls in college because he isn't mutilated, I guess you need to circumcise. I don't know how ******ed the average person is over there in this regard, but deciding by your boyfriend, pretty ******ed. There is absolutely no other rational reason for circumcision though.

at the risk of opening an entirely new can of worms, I think it's a bit odd that people who believe in third trimester abortions also believe you don't have the right to circumcise your child. Just throwin that out there...

Hahahahaha.

I just remembered I have already made pretty much the exact same post earlier in this threadr.

Oh well, I guess repeating the truth doesn't hurt anyone.

It's called autonomy and sovereignty over the body. It's not "odd" to say you're allowed to do whatever you want to yourself.

i got circumcised out of my own free will at the age of 19. Why ? cause i watched a lot of porn & i thought circumcised looks nicer + all the other advantages, better hygiene etc. I talked about it with my ex gf & sister they both preferred circumcised.

also circumcised provides more friction (because otherwise the skin moves a long a little) and gives more pleasure to both during sex.

i can compare before & after . and i m really happy i did it

its just a small operation, nothing major, so why not.

edit: maybe you could give everyone a choice when they grow up. but its much more painful as you get older. and i ve never heard anyone complain about being circumcised.

I just had a little boy last month and had him circumsized. I had to argue with my wife a bit to have it done because the Doctors and nurses kept telling us that there was absolutley no medical benefit in having it done. Our insurance did not cover the circumcision and it ended up costing us $300.

As this being my first child I found it very difficult and nerve racking to tend to the little guys wound. For about 7-10 days we had to lubricate the wound with vitamin a +d and keep it wrapped in guaze to make sure it wouldn't stick to the diaper.

does every trend in your great country have a rational explanation? why do girls have hairy armpits in france? because it gets cold in the winter?

Did your parents use a scalpel to cut off two inches of your armpit so that no hair could ever grow again?

Whatever man. It's a trend. It's like cool! That guy's sister said it was TOTALLY better!

God 2+2 is full of ******s.

does something that's been around for 3000 years count as a trend? I guess so. And yes, 2+2 is a full of dumb people, as is evidenced by your post.

I buddy of mine said his uncircumsized penis split his first time having sex. He let it heal and tried again with the same girl a few weeks later and it did it again but worst. He went to the doctor and he recommended a circumcision. He was black fwiw. He said it was agonizing and wished it was done when he was a newborn.

By that logic everything the Jews have been doing for 6000 years is morally and socially right. You are literally trying to say that "everyone is doing it" and therefore cutting off a part of your kid's wang is correct. You are ******ed.

I was simply pointing out that your definition of 'trend' was flawed. Learn to read my friend. You might prevent yourself from looking like an ******* in the future.

The American academy of pediatrics does not endorse routine circumvision for newborns. It is considered unnecessary surgery. Only about 50% of babies in the us are cut nowadays.

Don't know who you are getting your info from, but it doesn't chafe in while wearing underwear. unless your underwear is made of sandpaper.
