So, a friend of mine usually runs lights and does spot-tech for Lynda Carter's band once a year. He wasn't able to do it this year, so he asked me. Figured why not. Pays well and it's easy as hell.

2nd of 3 shows and I had to do some quick-thinking emergency audio fixing and after the show, the manager said "Whatever you want from the bar." I joked that The Glenlivet 18 was staring at me, but it's $30 a shot." He said "Lynda's paying for it."

I ordered it, and since the bartender and me are cool, he made a triple. Damn good night.

And Lynda looks ridiculously good for 60 years old.

99.9% of all 60 years are to be ran away from. Lynda Carter is not one of those. She's a big b*tch though.

I've never had scotch at a bar, so I didn't about the "nips." And no pics. Strict instructions. But maybe tonight since it's the last show.

Cause the stage at the Catalina B&G is REALLY small (especially for a 10 piece band), so I'm more of a spotlight turner-on'er. I move it 3x's during the show, all in the 2nd half. One of the BU singers had mic problems, so I had to fix it since it's only me and their engineer/manager/assistant/etc/etc doing the show.

I'm being a paid well and didn't mind at all doing it. I'm not union (stage-hand union at least) so it's aight. And it got me a 3 nips of The 'Livet. Well worth it.

She was always a singer first.

She put this band of sick as hell studio musicians and tours a couple months a year.

Blue Lou is one of those musicians and the dude is such a bad *ss

Don't really have any stories, since it was just a 3-night thing, and tonight was the last night. I've never worked with any of the people involved before this. Like I said, I was filling in for a friend who usually does this gig. Sorry.
