A few days ago a wild fire decided to blow into my city from riverside county. It took out 500 mobile homes and over 90 homes. A few of my close friends lost there homes but thankfully mine stayed safe.

Here are a few pictures from my buddies backyard.

If it were'nt for an airplane dropping a fire ******ent chemical on the burning hills he may have lost his house too.

wild fires happen every year out there. house is insured. sucks it burned down, but as much can be expected from living near a tinder box.

edit: if it wasn't insured than I respect the gambool, but that's kinda a fish move imho

I dont understand why they don't invent like a really big towel with pipes in it and when there is like a big fire they throw it over their house to keep it from catching on fire

there is a prototype for a tent thing that goes over your house and acts as a heat shield. I guess once you stop the embers you still have to worry about radiated heat. I think I saw it on 60 mins maybe? its still expensive and impractical

I dont know anything about Caifornia but, my father lives in Perris.

I think that is near Riverside... I havent heard from him in a month.. he doesnt own a phone.
