I am, imo, in no way related to Craig Peterson Basic, founder of Basic cigarettes.

But I am smoking his Lights, in moderation. During the summer, I smoked probably 2 packs/week, and a lot of weed. I moved and started a new job about a month ago. I've only smoked bud once since, and for the first couple weeks, I wasn't smoking butts at all. Recently I have started to smoke again, but in moderation--only a pack/week.

Because I smoke so little, my craving to have a few butts after work seems like just a psychological fix. But I'm curious if I'll start to smoke more cigerbutts in the future, if I continue with this routine. Is it even possible to be addicted to nicotine, to such a small extent? Or am I being tarped by Craig...will this habit gradually turn into a need for more butts each day? Is this how they "get ya"?

you're fine. you smoke a few light cigarettes a week. that does not lead to addiction.

the way people become addicted to cigarettes is to start smoking 2 packs a day of regular cigarettes from day 1.

I smoked cigs for probaby 5 years or so. I quit like 5 years ago with the help of marijuana. I would get high, and then try to smoke a cig, and it would just be ****ing horrible. Tasted like complete ****, burned my throat, make me want to puke.

I got sick for a couple weeks and still smoked weed, but couldn't smoke cigs at all. I just quit the nasty things.


I still have the whole oral fixation, I chew a **** load of gum.

I could never do that. Maybe it's just me, dunno. But cigs just killed me after smoking bud.

Me too. Those pretty summer days...I always ripped a *** right after a blunt or a bowl, like they were country cousins.
