MinorThreat was nice enough to make me an avatar. 2+2 is not nice enough to let me use it (or I am too stupid to use it [or both]).

When I try to upload the file, I get this message:

It is not even a GIF image ffs.

Should I ask for help in Computer Techincal Help; About the Forum (where people usually go with avatar problems; or here. (Forum description says I can "request avatars, make avatars..." but I've already had it made. I just need to figure out what to do with it. Perhaps my avatar problem even falls into the "post any of life's problems you want advice about" category.)

Cliffs: Please advise.

yeah, your host is calling it a .jpg even though it's a gif. It is definitely a gif, because jpg files do not do animation. Save it to your hard drive by right-clicking it on here, and saving it as c:\h.gif (or whatever you want to call it)

Then add it as an avatar from your C: drive, not the web link
