others are loose passives, bb is a 10/6 player on 3 or more tbls (that curiously isn't topping up).

I think he'd bet spades on flop after two checks and/or not raise others out on turn so I don't think that's what he has. He could have a bad K; maybe a good T, possibly T6; really don't know.

With this rvr card is this a b/c? Will he call a bet? If I check does he bet? And am I calling everything?

I might have put him all in on the turn after he raised you. Now I would be betting $7.50 and folding to a all in or raise.

i would raise pf and try to take it down right there. if nothing else maybe it'll get HU.

flop is fine, turn i would pot and given his distribution i don't much know what changed on the river. if he's a nit i'd bet/fold the pot.

I'm curious, do monstrous bets/raises/shoves work where you play? IIRC guruman's vid had a couple of those too and looks like they work well. I had been taking the approach of trying to build up the pot before I put a ton in fearing I'd otherwise blast them out; but I'm not winning hardly any stacks so wonder if my approach is too cautious.

When you raise the turn you need to think about what's going to happen on the river. Raising to $7.50 means you've got a $17 pot with $21 effective stacks so bet sizing will be a bit awkward. If you bump it to $9 on the turn then the pot will be $20 with eff stacks <$20 making a shove a more natural bet size.

If he's got any kind of hand that's going to call $7.50 it'll call $9 too, maybe even a tiny bit more, and the more you get in on the turn the easier it'll be to get the rest on the river.

As played I'd lead out for about $12 and call if he shoves, expecting to see a random 2pr every time, imo you should NEVER fold the river here.

Oh yeah, on the turn you should probably bet more too, $1 gives all kinds of draws odds to continue and you're not really building any kind of pot. If you make it $2 and the same action follows then you're making it even easier to get the money in.

i think i play similar to you in this respect. i usually try to make it a natural progression to get someone all-in. even so, it's not happening all that often. so i'm thinking that donkshoving to look bluffy is the way to go in some instances(vs. certain opponents). as a matter of fact i played a hand the other nigth similar to this where i raised UTG with 89s, flopped OESD and turned the nut straight. the board was QJx8 and he donked the turn and i put him all-in with a huge overraise. he called with a Jack(lol). i don't know if he called because he was horrible or b/c it looked so bluffy(or both).
