Table was tight so I started stealing more liberally (sue me) and then this happened

BTN is 22/22 over 9 hands, no significant plays noticed at this point

Poker Stars $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

SB: $26.70
BB: $23.30
Hero (UTG): $25.35
CO: $27.15
BTN: $13.45

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is UTG with K 5
Hero raises to $0.75, 1 fold, BTN calls $0.75, 1 fold, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($2.35) 4 6 8 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $2, BTN raises to $6, BB folds, Hero?

I have a FD + GSSD for 12 outs. The K may be good too. Pot is $10.35, villain has $6.70 left behind. If I reraise to put him all in he will be getting 2.5 to 1 on a call. Is shoving here worth it?

Do you actually have stats coming up after fewer than 50 hands?

Uh, I think there are better spots to get your mbonies in. I don't like your K outs, you can't count the gutty outs as full, your flush isn't to the nuts. If the guy is taking a poke at you, you'll figure it out in a few more hands and get your $3 back.

You could also just peel. I don't see enough value in your hand to shove (since you can't expect him to fold ever) now, but if either of your draws comes in you'll certainly have enough to call.

Dear god, please gamble. You're getting like 1.6:1 if you shove all-in and he calls. You never know, he might fold or have worse hearts sometimes and you're even money against one pair.

you guys are nits. 9 hands is a sufficient sample size

Interesting hand.

It may not be possible to minipuate the situation enough, but I could see check-raising an agrro opponent on the flop or betting a smaller amount on the flop to give you more fold equity when you go all-in.

As played it seems like a math problem which can be solved with equity calcs. I would assume 0-4% fold equity.

Snap get it in, we have like 45% equity versus a range of all sorts of pairs and Ace high flush draws and some lower combo draws. (And straights and sets of course.)

Yup. I don't even hesitate in this spot. But all last 2 weeks I get it in vs 22 and miss everything so I don't even know any more.

But seriously, I insta- shove here

Edit: When you play these hands this is why you play them

if i had this particular hand on this particular flop everytime i get CR, i would be multi milloniaire. That's a fist pump shove, lol at waiting for better spot

This is a super easy shove given stack sizes and what not

It's already been mentioned but here's a pokerstove of a probable range of villain:

In other words, shove all in. You probably don't have fold equity, but there's always a chance.

Why are we even in this spot? K5s UTG dump PF.

1. You're nearly always going to find yourself OP (except if blinds only call). Especially on an average / loose table.

2. Generally you'll win small - lose BIG with this type of hand (reverse implied odds with x kicker excluding flushes).

What were you hoping to see on the flop?

Anyways, in this ordinary spot I 4 bet shove the flop.

mmm why are you in the spot dude? DUMP imo
