Trying to get my NL groove on for my trip to Vegas next week, so playing a little 10. Tables are pretty weak, I'm stealing a lot and nobody's standing up to me. Then this happens:

Poker Stars $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em - 7 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter By DeucesCracked Poker Videos

SB: $0.63
BB: $1.75
UTG: $5.90
UTG+1: $8.72
MP: $4.10
Hero (CO): $6.02
BTN: $1.70

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is CO with A T
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, BTN raises to $0.80, 2 folds, Hero...

No reads at all. My instinct is that since he's got so little behind it's probabaly not worth fighting over. Discussion?

is this a 50bb capped table? Is that why you have 60bb?

17bb tell me that this guy is just bad, not trying to play a well reasoned ss strat. With that being said if they've played passively until the odds are in favor for him having a hand now. And ATo is very borderline to get it in imo, fold, nh.

My guess is OP is playing a short stack on purpose. Likely planning to sit with $100 at the 1/2 tables in Vegas so is practicing accordingly.

As for the hand I agree with deathdan. From your read it doesn't look like they are looking to adapt with a well rounded ss strategy. Being OOP vs. a short stack I vote to just fold. AQo+ I would just shove probably, AJ is kinda bordeline and ATo I usually just muck here unelss we have a read he can 3-bet here with trash.

Good luck in Vegas Boz
