Villain was 19/9/3 after 32. No other reads.

I have trouble knowing how to play these weak overpair hands. Comments on all streets appreciated.

This looks all right to me. Preflop and flop I play it the same.

The turn card isn't great, but how often does he peel preflop and the flop with an ace-high hand? You might be OK pushing here as a two-way bet but by waiting for the river you'll get paid off where he'd fold the turn with something you beat.

River: Although villain is somewhat on the tight side, I think you see lower pockets quite often and the blocking bet prevents you from paying too much to see 10's.

I just call PF in these spots against someone who is most likely very tight until I have a better read on what they are stealing with or how they handle a 3 bet. Dunno if thats good or not tho with 99

Turn I can go either way with, after his flop call I think its pretty clear hes got an overpair, so its just a question of how big it is, since hes tight I'm more likely to think its TT or JJ than it is 88 or 77, so I prolly shove hoping for a fold. But checking isnt bad either I dont think as long as you have a plan for what you are going to do if he bets. I think checking just cuz you arent sure what to do is bad.

I don't think I like the river bet, I don't think there is any value in it as I think you lose more than half the time when you are called, and I dont think you need a blocking bet here as I think hes just gunna check it down, whatever pocket pair he has hes gunna be scared yours is higher, so hes not gunna value bet TT JJ here, and I also don't think hes gunna try and bluff here with 77, because he'll prolly expect you to call with QQ or KK which is what hes gunna think you have.

i don't like the river bet. i'd rather check and see if he bets/bluffs because better pps are calling you most of the time if you bet.

Thanks for the analysis. I agree that the blocking bet wasn't necessary as he's likely to check behind and it's not clear that it is for value.

So if I check the river, what's the biggest bet you're calling?

get it in on the flop. you're fairly ahead of his range.

How do you suppose I do this?

thats a crazy overbet. villain probably calls with JJ+, probably folds anything hero is ahead of. Even if hero had KK, this is no way to bet.
