Confirming what I gather gtpitch has posted itt already: I will be running Lost Wolves II on June 13. It will be about 27 players or something near that.

I'll put up a pre-signup soon — I'm going to give first dibs to people who played in the first iteration of the game.

This is even shown by how signups are going in both forums. SE can get a 50+ player game going in a much quicker fashion than any POG game, since they have, essentially, the whole 2p2 player base to pull from, vice just POG. As examples, the last two games that ran in SE, NHL 2.0 got 42 players in just 3 days of the signup thread being up. Vagos' America game got 50 players in 5 days (with a 6 player sub list, due to the game being capped at 50). This vice the trend in POG where a sign-up thread for a 50+ person game can be up for 10-14 days (and sometimes still not get to that number). It could be coincidence with people in more games in POG and/or the timing of things, but you rarely have to see roles cut or games not run due to lack of players in SE.

Alright alright, we can probably cut out the trolling of someone who can't respond right now. The whole point was to let things cool down so we could move on. I have no interest in seeing the whole thing reignite upon return.

maybe you should just ban the trolls in the first place

I got a couple PMs that I should come to this thread, but I have no idea what is going on here.

I have a game that I would like to run. An August spot would be fine if that's what available atm, but I don't even mind being pushed back further if the eager beavers are out in force.

It's a mishmash, 35-40 players would be nice, but could probably accommodate more and add some ITAs since everyone loves those unholy funfests.

Theme tbd, but it and the design will be confirmed awesome because that's how I roll.

So yeah I was actually serious about this. Nuked a few posts so that we could be done with this and get back to using this for scheduling.

If there are grievances to still be had out, here's the thread for them. The usual rules of that thread still do apply, etc.

I'm gonna ask a question that I mean genuinely, and I'm going to get hated on for it but know this comes from the heart:

Why do so many people want to run so many mishmashes?

Given that most roles are not unique, most designes are more-or-less set, and a mishmash is ultimately an unpredictable variance-box where the design either is fine or totally sucks balls, why does anyone imagine that it really matters who mods it? Why does anyone get greedy / butthurt / insulted / selfish about scheduling "slots" for "their" game? It's all just a derivative of obvious tropes anyway.

I'm serious, this explosion of mods that we've interpreted as a GREAT THING is actually pretty ****ing lame. And no, I'm not talking about anyone in particular.

EDIT: This is a variant of my SANDBOX argument from years ago.

EDIT2: Putting it differently, one of the main reasons EPIC MAFIA is terrible is that every game has all sorts of lolz roles, just like mishmashes. That's why mishmashes are called mishmashes.

Because you get to be God. Same reason that games like SimCity/tycoon games do well I think.

That's what's ****ing lame.

o noez, wannabe god doesn't get to mod game, can't be god, SO SAD IS COMMUNITY CRISIS

because it's easier to luckbox into being good at ww through mishmashes than it is to actually be good at ww ldo

also, modding mishmashes is overrated imo

Hoya, I agree in principle but check the Poggies, the other ww threads, the postgame discussions, etc. People like mishmashes. And designing them has become an art unto itself.

Though I absolutely agree with Chips that if you have a problem with being randed vanilla in them, then you simply don't like playing ww.

Also if people don't realize that mishmashes are as good or bad as the play within them, then lol. The design is not making or breaking anything, the enthusiasm of the players is.

If we have like 97,000,000 mishmashes a week of course the games start to stagnate and kinda suck. Duh.

And yet you called nutshot's #1488 post confirmed elite, where he was essentially citing the difference in interest between themes?

I thought it was funny too, but your point and his are diametrically opposed.

Btw that's the only post I read out of the last 100 or so.

It was confirmed elite because he's right, he's just GONNA host his giant horse dick game in SE and lol, which is what he should do

it's like someone with some backbone writing to the email chain "y'all ****ing idiots are horrible, the party is at [address], I'll supply the booze, be there or not dicks"

The simple answer for Hoyaids is don't play if you don't like it.

Can we now consider this subject closed?

If you actually believe this, you are not just pretending to be a horrible human being. I like to work on the assumption that because you're a lawyer, you don't believe at least 90% of what you say, maybe more.
