Shank Mechanics Educated Guess(AKA SMEG):

A) 50%+ of all non wolves are capable of shanking.
B) One shank happens per night or it has a low % of effectiveness.
C) Wolves have at least 1 role/mechanism that is searching for inmates with shanks.
D) If you pass your shank to a guard you will be punished.
E) If you are caught with an inactive shank, passing a shank, or killing a non villager you will be punished.
F) If you are caught attacking a wolf you will be killed.

This would be my guess about them so if you have a shank to do talk about it.

ok, so about digger - in the competition - digger was paired up against Chris. Chris talked, digger did not.

after the whole pot of gold thing last mish/mash, I would definitely expect Chris to talk. And digger is such a floozy that i would expect him to talk too. but he didn't.

could be w/w, and they decided in wolfchat to give chris the reward.

digger wolf / chris villa : either no wolves in chat realized chris would talk - or they thought that by digger keeping quiet, they could set up chris for a mislynch and help preserve digger's villager cover.

digger villa / chris wolf : maybe if digger didn't realize chris would talk.

v/v : again, only if digger didn't realize chris would talk.

Since I would expect digger to be the kind of player that would talk in a prisoners dilemna setup - and Chris is obviously a type of player that would almost always talk - i agree that this is wolf points for digger. either to give chris the reward, or setup chris for mislynch.

or, you know, it could just be a coinflip on whether or not your shanking works

k, that makes sense. that's why I've been saying that nobody should ever say who he plans to pass his shank to.

saying who you passed it to the day after/saying you received one isn't nearly as bad, but it eliminates future shanking suspects thus helps the wolves.
