You don't really understand the dynamic between us... there's a long and arduous history there. But A) he should know better than to pull this kind of stunt as a villager and B) I can't recall a time he's ever done this on D1; his policy is usually [and was earlier this game]; "you can't catch Tom D1 so peek him / let him work himself into a corner on D3", I don't see why that would have suddenly changed drastically just to push me now.

There's still a chance he is a villager, and I'm hoping he's reading these posts with an open mind if so, but this behavior definitely fits better if he's a wolf and wouldn't doesn't openly contradict his existing and established thought process regarding me, how to handle me in early games, and our history together.

I also think there's small things I've done which he should recognize I wouldn't / shouldn't do as a wolf, like trying to get him and Hoya to stop arguing yesterday or the way I've not had anyone I've needed to hard defend like I would if I were a wolf -- which, an aside, is how I'm feeling more and more is how he used his peek of Carl. You can just say "oh I didn't die; guess I was wrong about Carl" and have a free D1 of hard defending a wolfbro without needing real in-thread justification.

My gut reaction was that the megapost was villagery, and it made me tinfoil on you slightly which is why I brought myself back to the "TTT is the clean sweep wolf" post because I really believe that to be your default for wolf games. Then you had your giant megapost and my initial gut reaction was that it was also villagery and I lost my grasp of the game.

As I said before, I'm decently sure wolf cory snags himself 3 votes like that ~NEVER. I mean, I know it's pretty thin and probably kinda silly but I really think that as a wolf he'd put the effort in to pay more attention to that out of respect for his team more than anything, because as a villager it's absurdly easy to be oblivious, as noted by MANY THINGS that ALL VILLAGERS say and do QUITE OFTEN

I don't think I want to lynch you today, and I don't know if I want to reassess your alignment at this point either, and I still feel comfortable saying most of the wolves are in that one list I posted earlier, but Cory's post gave me just enough doubt to throw my perception of the game out of whack. If anything it pretty much just prompts me to not want to lynch you, but at the same time take everyone you're calling a lock villager with a grain of salt, at least for today.

Monstr, do you generally agree that Cory, as a villager, in this spot, with heavy suspicions of me, knowing that I'm a villager in most people's eyes: would want to see how I act at EOD and whose wagons I try to stall instead of putting me on the defensive right before the most spew-potential period? He's basically shooting himself in the foot, and I've never seen him do that. He shouldn't be this confident in me being a wolf anyway, but if he was, he'd play it cooler.

I feel like you're onto something here with the fact that he would be playing it cooler but I think at this point we have to take into account that regardless of his alignment Cory pretty much hasn't been playing it cool all game, so I'm not sure we can attribute this game to the way he's played in previous games because it's kind of apparent that he's off his game.

I think it's still entirely plausible if not likely that he is in fact a villager, especially because of the obliviousness. Seriously, I really DO NOT THINK wolf cory is SO OBLIVIOUS that he shoots himself in the foot like that. I really, really don't. I think wolf cory patiently waits until 1 hour before EoD because he is not truly mad, he is not truly anxious, he is not truly excited and he doesn't truly believe you are a wolf, so he doesn't have any incentive to make that post without taking the extra time to check and see if he's actually posting within the alloted time necessary to not add votes to himself.

I ALSO am relatively confident that his progression on me is genuine, because while he's done similar progressions on me in previous games I really do FEEL like he REALLY FELT like I was a wolf, especially when you consider that usually when wolfing against me he takes the line of "I can't clear you but I won't condemn you" whereas here he more went with a line of "I can't clear you, and I have this feeling in the pit of my stomach that says you're a wolf." I mean, it doesn't SEEM like it's very different but in my mind it's pretty much miles apart.

Mostly the oblivious thing though I really do mean that.

However, I will agree that IF Cory is a wolf here I think he peeks his wolfbro Carl a relatively high % of the time.
