i'll be in two games so i can't play cause of work schedule

if MB wants to mod i'll go back into my hole because he already knows how to run vote robots and i don't

but he should play and let me mod imo

I'll only mod if we can use my rules -- no subs, short nights. I'm open to persuasion on whether there should be majorities in this format and although I favour no n0 or a parity cop approach, I could agree to a n0 rand villager peek if that's what people favour.

Gl have fun.

I can't say I hope this style catches on. The thrill of the reveal is a huge portion of the fun equity in werewolf and I don't think I will ever play this type of game.

That was pretty much my inspiration for this setup, but I've stripped it down to just the bare essentials. Actually I think you posted in the previous thread where I discussed this idea. But n0 kills suck so this is what I end up with.

I tried the video setup too. I think it works as a 13er the way fnord has it. But no one was really interested, which was a pity.

In my failed game (lack of interest) i just made it a 13'er and was going to rand with 2 dummy players to make it 15, so that the possibility of village power roles being removed was still there but no actual player was N0'd.

The one thing in that set up that yours doesn't have is the kill power reduction. With double stacking it isn't 100% accurate (though there are some scenarios you know know you have reduced KP). That is actually a pretty big source of information.

I think it's really strategic, whereas the way Soah has it is likely to be a bit of a guessing game. It's a real pity people didn't want to play it because I think it would work quite well as a forum game. Possibly better if people could commit to a few hours so it could be played as a semiturbo though.

so you know player 2 is either the same alignment as player 1 or opposite alignment.
We've done that role on BGG a moderate amount and call it a Quasi-Seer, but usually you submit two names each night.

Also a half seer. Submit two names and get the results of one but don't know which.

I think the balance definitely depends on who is playing. If you have a bunch of people prone to going full ****** the village would do better having no seer than having a full seer (like all the games where 4 villagers hardclaim seer and **** like that). I can only imagine someone randing seer and peeking both wolves then volunteering to die and then two other guys deciding they need to hardclaim seer as villagers and all of a sudden the village loses. If you have people who won't fakeclaim seer as a villager then I think balance is ok.

I've also found that it's fun to play no reveal games with setups of very low villager content. Obviously doesn't work with reveals in a known setup.
