a PR song doesn't really have much to do with musical taste IMO. like, i HATE slipknot, but there is 1 song in particular of theirs that I listen to every single time i squat because it gets me so pumped. there are also rap/electronic type songs i listen to that also pump me up. it's definitely not specific to one genre, just something that gets you in the zone and makes you wanna lift heavy weight

Yeah, I'm not sure how far I dare to stretch genre definition of country/alt-country, especially considering I think fnord will like the song I submit better the more I stretch it (at least among the songs I've been considering).
