Paul you made a mistake in round 8 of yesterdays DC

The 2x2 must go to middle and right zone. You can handle 2x2+1x1 (or any number of 1s) in rack 9 that way.

Also made a mistake in Round 6. Played yesterday fairly badly. So that cost me a win. Argh, why would you tell me that??! I didn't even see/think about that. TILT. I swear lifetime I must've burnt like 5 or 6 wins by really dumb mistakes.

Looks like victory will be yours in the wins race Gaby, congrats.

haha - you have yet to throw away a DC win in rack 9. TH10 and I have accomplished that. I make plenty of mistakes myself, very subtle ones and very obvious ones and various ones I do not even recognize

For some reason people connect the 2s in the zones where most 1s are. The correct play is the exact reverse. If you can connect 2s and have multiple zones to choose from, pick the one that has less 1s (rule of thumb).

I'm on a heater

That is the very last thing on my mind when I see the play. It was a trainwreck from the start that luckboxed into the win.

I guess saying he's bad is better than saying he's a cheater. Carry on.

haha I am not even saying that. But this was a bad game. I have had those too, where every choice I make turned out wrong.

I'm aware of that, I just didn't consider connecting the two new 2s.

about 41% of recorded DCs are won by the top 20% of players.

The best players win the most games, that's not really a unique concept.

So it was TMI after all. From this you can deduct that they have to have different bonus, so there will likely be a difficult decision with 1s/2s. Obv affects games greatly.

Today's DC was a trainwreck though

Paul: we started the same yesterday, is your round 2 placement of the 3 in the center an error or did it just work out badly due to the rest of the rolls?

Sigh. Had a big coinflip decision (two roughly equal plays in value) in rack 4, obv picked the wrong side, finishing 21/25, when I would've co-won with the other play. Not only did I miss the win, but that was about a 10 point rating swing too! This is just ridiculous, not only do I run horribly wrt 9th rack wins, now I also can't make any correct coinflip decisions, I'm something like 5/30 recently, there even was a game with 4 coinflips, and I lost all of them. #whining

I don't know tbh, without doing a ton of analysis with loads of cases. For example mine is better with 65xxx (x=4,3,2,1), yours is very slightly better with 556xx and better with 5566x

Nah, your Round 4 play is clearly the better play imo. Your Round 3 play however...
