Small clarification, it's been covered already but anyway:

"All commodities need to go at least through 1 day Phase before they can be used for construction."

"Similarly, all food that is produced goes through 1 day Phase before its consumed"

With 7 governors and 10 auctions, I figured I'd just bid on 2, tops. Seems some people were content w/ trying to win 5-6...

New Posting mechanic

We will have all ongoing bids displayed in a post each Day.

Every time someone makes a bid he will need to quote or include in his post this breakdown with all the ongoing bids, updating his own bid in bold. That way its useful as an update of all ongoing bids, and helps present all information at a glance.

If all ongoing auctions were this:

"10 Units of Egyptian Wheat at 7D/U starting price
10 Units of Zurvan's Iron at 12D/U starting price"

And Homer were to then bid 8D/U on the Egyptian Wheat, he should post this:

"10 Units of Egyptian Wheat, 8D/U bid by Homer"
10 Units of Zurvan's Iron at 12D/U starting price"

If Sun Tzu were to then bid 13D/U on Zurvan's Iron he should post this:

"10 Units of Egyptian Wheat, 8D/U bid by Homer"
10 Units of Zurvan's Iron at 13D/U bid by Sun Tzu"

If Titan then were to announce an auction of his own he should post this:

"10 Units of Egyptian Wheat, 8D/U bid by Homer
10 Units of Zurvan's Iron at 13D/U bid by Sun Tzu
25 Units of Titan's Meat at 9D/U starting price"

And so on.

Deadlines should be included if they are OTHER than 9 PM EST, otherwise they are assumed to end at 9 PM EST.

Easy, right?

As you see, its extremely quick to do by copy pasting the previous breakdown and adding your info, and helps have an easy overview of the ongoing auctions. Given the ample time that the bids allow, there is no excuse for lazyness. This will make the bidding easier to follow.

From the rules: "Auctions are closed in every respect except the price"

The egyptian ship carried 20 meat and they were looking to sell the full shipment at the advertised minimum price, or not at all.

I was going to suggest no one build the theater (i believe thats the one that steals population?)

So between the blatant hogging of Egyptian resources and the stealing of population I'm guessing I will not be on friendly terms with certain cities going forward.

January has passed by and the aspiring governors have started to deal with each other. Conversations have gone rather agreeably for the most part and the Roman Empire is better off for it.

The colaboration has been fruitful and as a result, the provinces are starting to grow their population and industry.

The game is now down to 6 governors since no suitable sub has been found in a timely manner.

As a result, there will be 2 winners, and an honorary mention for the 3rd.

Immigration buildings will still grant population as if there were 6 rival provinces, even though we now have just 5 rival cities.

Its February, 117 AD

The fine city of Miletus is the most populated one with 1085 souls.
The proud city of Carthago Nova is the wealthiest with 525 Denarii.

As a result, the names of both Zurvan and Gder have gotten some small favourable mentions in Rome.
(+1) & (+1).

Reputation standings

Zurvan 32
Gder 31
Sun 30
Dmk 30
Titan 30
Homer 30

Note: Zurvan at 32 is NOT a typo

Its day!
