we don't actually "have to" change minimum participation rules. If some subset of the player pool wants more serious competitive werewolf with different rules, mods are pretty welcome to run games

I don't think you should assume that everyone in POG actually wants that or that we "have to" change what has been the predominant rule for many years. It's sort of like if I came into SE and started a thread about how the SEer culture was too hostile and you guys had to sort out all your overly nasty posters so I could enjoy participating

Fair comment, and its quite possible that i'm wrong and that the majority of POG are happy playing uncompetitive (in part) WW. But I think it's also fair to admit that there is some section of POG who agree with me. I dont think the thread gets this big if everyone thinks i'm talking complete rot.

In either case, its a conversation worth having.

Sorry, I'm just trolling you. It's pretty much like every similar thread that has been made about WW. There's not really any issues, but we're discussing about it anyways. Or we're discussing about things that have been discussed million of times before, but nothing ever chances like biggerboat said on 1st page.

oh, youre totp is solid. I agree with the premise that most people should not be allowed to play multiple games at a time. It is rare that people read the thread once much less reread these days and unless youre already doing that and posting a lot of substance it is fair to say you could add a lot more to the game you are in. when this is the case it isnt right to join another game.

i like gadardene and met him in real life and i think he's a nice guy but he hated on me in a game and thought i was being a dick too. all i was trying to do was discern his role

Or, in other words, WW is no longer about persuasiveness, but about faux friendship.

I don't think many people, if any, would call the things you mentioned a problem

I don't think there's a movement to take arguing out of ww

I have no idea where this is coming from
