Think Babe - 3 woulda worked better cause that would have guaranteed we would never guess cross, (prob shouldn't have anyway but it kinda looked like we mighta spursed into it and you wanted us to fetch it from before + find 2 babe words)

Yeah, as I said before, this is the big problem with the n-1 method at endgame. There is no way to get your team off the next word unless you try to force a clue that is very unlikely to work. If we change to unlimited with 2 or 3 words left when next word on the list is correct, it would fix that.

that's sorta the current meta cause if we don't guess next word what do we do?

leave us w/ 1 word left and them w/ a 2 their turn?

we can do a random I suppose or some direction with a 3 clue

Yeah, I don't blame you for guessing cross or anything...I expected it.

What I'm saying is if there is an obvious next guess and you have 2 or 3 words left, then you clue unlimited if it's correct or give a normal clue if it's wrong. There is no confusion there, but everybody sorta has to sign off on it or else it will be if people are doing different things. It would be much better to know that your next word is wrong without having to overclue something just to get your team off of it.

Also, sometimes you've caught up on all the clues but you have a good 2 or 3 clue which will leave one left but you can't finish that turn. If there was another word that was discussed, that means your team will guess it anyway. So you have to give a 1 clue instead and give the bigger clue last which just kinda sucks.

I'm not sure if any of those ramblings were coherent or not...I've had a bit to drink haha.

It was our bad not considering how any of the words we were suggesting could close out the first clue. That’s priority ahead of conventions like n-1.

I’m good with the unlimited approach D1iab’s preaching, and you’ll see it from me next time I’m clueing in that position.

Other possibilities:
Cherry (color)
Draft (people wear suits at NBA draft)
Ghost (more of a costume, but possible)
Parachute (skydiving suit)
Polo (another form of clothing)
Tear (suit could have a tear)

Not sure what I like most of those. Will let others chime in.

Dressing: putting on a suit is dressing up; decent but don’t love it
Polo: a polo shirt is a more business casual outfit, but also the company makes suits
Draft: players at the draft always wear suits
Brass: the big brass at companies would always wear suits back in the days that we called them brass; also brass buttons on suits
London: known for their tailors and suits


I think I like polo best and no clue on what is fourth; not sure I’d fight for or against any of them…london prolly the most tenuous tho
