Crazy Wendy Davis lost in the governor's race here, but I have a lot of respect for any politician insane enough to mock the fact that her opponent is in a wheelchair. Above and beyond. Also she's hot for an old lady.

no i don't. on the internet i don't mind so much if people think i'm a bizarre fool..... or idk, maybe it's not that. it seems less appropriate to talk about it in real life.

one night these two israeli guys were complaining about how biased the media is AGAINST israel, and i didn't say a word.

You should have patiently explained to him how the Jews control the media here.

Excuse me, you both seem to be confused. Post-Election-Day Pub politics posts should be limited to discussions of how awesome USA#1 is.

Soccer mums versus militarized police, Gogogo. Not sure if it's a ww theme, Hollywood blockbuster, reality tv show, or iPad app, but it's got legs

Game: Which Hemingway novel was set in the Spanish Civil War?

I'm listening to this Pacifico show of filthy's, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. Let's take to the barricades.

i liked hearing about global politics in the run up to ww2, and orwell's experience there must have influenced 1984. and the trading of gold for arms, and the soviets cackling as the rake in the gold and ship out old useless weapons.

there was a good part about orwell leaving the war, injured, and on a train full of maimed soldiers. they pulled into a station next to a train going the opposite way and that train was full of fresh soldiers heading out to war.

Orwell is so fetishized these day. I doubt if filthy and Orwell could talk right now, they'd agree on much.

I can barely keep the Hemmingway books straight, I think the Spanish Civil War was For Whom the Bell Tolls. Farewell to Arms was WW1 iirc.

I'm gonna get Chinese takeout here at 11 my time. It's gonna be so good. It will validate my existence. He's actually a Vietnamese guy, but he doesn't seem to hold a grudge.
