I don't find them aggro at all at PLO
Just extremely predictable and easy to read.

Also quite nitty. Valuebetting only with the nuts and such, giving me a lot of cheap showdowns, where a riverbet would have been problematic for me.

Just had another session where I picked up 5 buyins

if it continues like that I will be at PLO25 pretty soon.

liveaments:

WSOP $1.5k

blinds are 75/150, I have 9k and villain has 6k

I've been at the table for a few orbits; got a bunch of chips by getting it aipf against a LAG with 99 vs. AKcc and winning on a board of A9xcc, Tc, Ax or something. Also 3bet-shoved from SB vs BTN open before that and he folded; otherwise haven't done much. So prob have TAG image but willing to go with value hands.

Villain is to my direct left, he's younger and Latino and has been playing fairly snug. He limped AK UTG in a prior hand and then called a shove.

I'm UTG and open to 400 with Q Q

Villain flats next to act, folds around.

Flop: 7 9 T (pot 1025)

I bet 600 and he insta makes it 1400 with ~4k behind.

wug?

I have no idea what snugs means, but seems like standard fold unless he is some kind maniac. At best you are flipping agaisnt some kind of good draw, but good amount of time you are up against straight or set or some 2 pair combos. Players usually do not in this type of boards.

snug = tight

snug indeed means tight

which probably means that a lot of two pair hands (and definitely straights) should be discounted from his range, but increases the likelihood that he doesn't 3bet with AA/KK there

edit: doesn't 3bet with AA/KK there pre, I mean

Looks pretty setty and I do not see much bluffs in his range.

I'm not worried about 2p, I'm worried about 77 99 tt he could do this with 88 jj too, I guess, but i guess the decision rests on whether you think he can be spazzing with an at like hand.

In general, for 40 bb, I'm not looking to fold overpairs. His call is pretty marginal as a set mine.

What is your equity versus 77 - jj and a few BBS type hands?

I can do the calcs, but why would it be BBS type hands if he flatted UTG+1?

Also, is there a good online equity calculator that doesn't require download? I can't download apps to my work computer, and my phone with PokerCruncher is at home

Maybe it is because you should work, not hang out in internet forums.

the go to calculator used for Omaha was web based (and did other games). Unfortunately I can't recall its name

haha -- I thought you meant big blind special

I'll look around later for a good online range/equity calculator, but basically:

vs. 77/99/TT/KK/AA I have like 9 percent equity

vs. 88 I have ~60 percent

vs. JJ I have ~75 percent

vs. AT (if he ever shows up with it here) I have ~80 percent

vs. exactly AJss or KJss I have ~33 percent

vs. other nfds I have ~52 percent

and of these he's continuing with most if I flat flop and chk most turns, and calling with prob all but JJ and random air if I jam

too lazy to work out the combos now tho

Also the next day I had to fold QQ to a min 5-bet pre early in the $1k

and I was right

when I lay out the equity like that for the 79Tss hand it seems like a pretty easy fold actually

I'm having a hard time thinking of what you're ahead of given your description of him, and it's not much. And when you're ahead you're not WA anyway. Meanwhile you're in terrible shape very frequently. Think your fold instinct is right. I'd also note that you're not even at the high end of your possible range from his perspective. He should have contemplated your range to be significantly stronger sometimes than just an overpair. Right?

TR?

Yeah, I initially thought that this was high up your range, but utg your range is pretty strong.
