So, I was thinking of building something like pokerstove for PLO, but rather than adding hand ranges via like "56s+" or percentages having ranges defined by combinations of properties on a given board, i.e something like (on the flop or turn) a range can be some combination of:

- top/middle/bottom pair top/good/weak kicker
- top 2/other two pair
- top/middle/bottom set
- X-high flush draw (suit)
- high wrap/low wrap/open-end/gutshot straight draw
- over/under full
- AA/KKxx

And maybe also have some predefined categories that can be combined using a logical expression (AND/OR/NOT) for preflop like:

- AA/KK/QQxx
- X-suited
- XX-ds (pick Xs for high)
- high wrap (TJQK+)
- mid wrap (789T-TJQK)
- low wrap (2345-789T)
- double pair (define lowest pair+)
- suited-ace wrap (Axyz 1s)
- one-gap wrap (high/mid/low)
- double one-gap wrap (high/mid/low)
- two-gap wrap (high/mid/low)

Do these categories seem non-******ed? I'm a PLO fish and I thought it might learn me something.

and a couple notes (though I only briefly glanced over this)

-AA/KK/QQxx should NOT be lumped together. KKxx is vastly inferior to AAxx and QQxx is vastly inferior to both.
-Your "wraps" preflop are actually "rundowns"
-you need to differentiate between non-suited, 1 suited, and double suited.
-WRT 1/2/3 gap rundowns. The hi/mid/low differentiation isn't enough. We need to know both if the cards are high/low as well as where the gap is in the cards (this is HUGE).


I'm not even sure if this can be built, and it seems like a monumental task. I'll offer my assistance if you'd like but I really don't have the mathmatical background to be able to input any calculations.

I'll have to look at ProPokerTools but I'd kind of like something without a web UI.

"rundown" - I was trying to remember the right word for that.

I was thinking of the big pair + XX stuff as picking like QQxx+ or KKxx+ or AAxx rather than lumping together, so that makes sense.

Good point about 1 suited/double suited.

Meh, I'm not sure how far I'll get with this before I inevitably give up :P I'll let you know though heh.

my laptop can barely run pt3 atm. I don't want to purchase PT omaha now and have to buy it again when I get my new laptop and desktop (though the way my swings have been going recently who knows when that's going to be.)

Can't you install PT on your new computer if you buy it for your current one?

They give you a license for 2 computers. I've switched up computers several times since I bought PT and PTO and not had issues.
