I'd say the person who most benefits from seeing PlayerX's point count is PlayerX.

I'd rather not allow someone ahead of me to see their point count. I'd rather vote for someone like Vader.

ultimately, I think that there are a lot of viable strategies, but most people have "locked in" to their strategy so I will probably not be trading away my minstrels

Also, I don't think voting kokiri makes sense if he's truly in first place. He'll see his whopping point total and he'll sit tight. That's not what we want. We want someone who'll freak out and start making trades out of desperation. So vote kevkev.
