Random Disney story:

On Sunday, we took Mia to the Bippity Boppity Boutique at Downtown Disney. They give little girls makeovers there, with princess hair, makeup, nails, the whole deal. They asked Mia to sit in the front window, which looks out on to the street, because it was her birthday. They paraded her through the store the boutique is in, yelling "Make way for the Princess", and everybody stopped and clapped for her.

After she got her hair done, we took her to a Princess dinner at a nice restaurant. She got a picture taken with Belle (her favourite) who was dressed in a giant yellow gown from the movie. During dinner, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Cinderella, Ariel and Snow White came by the table and talked to her, and took a picture with her. Then, because we were celebrating her birthday, she got the picture of herself with Belle in a cardboard frame, and a birthday card signed by all five princesses.

The food was incredible, too. Disney really does provide some great entertainment. Despite all the money we've spent, I haven't thought anything we got was less than a great value.

EDIT: Here's a pic from the dinner. Mia with Cinderella:

Keeping with the Disney theme:

I saw the "World of Color" fountain show at Disney's California Adventure last week. Pretty damn awesome.

Picture Bellagio fountains but seriously supercharged. Soaring colored water features, movie snippets on a monster screen of water, flames, lasers, cool music, the works.

Also the front row people got a serious shower! They were dripping when it was over. Hehe.

Did Owen get her number?

Owen was seriously in love with Ariel. All the princesses love him, too.

I went when I was 9, we did EVERYTHING (disney, animal kingdom, seaworld, universal, some water park). Despite the fact that 5/6 of us had massive food poisoning. At the time I was massively afraid of theme park rides so I saw a loooooot of the shows/meet and greets/generally looking around with my mum while the boys went and did boy stuff.

There was another show, I think it must have been fantasia, where they projected a damn multistorey dragon onto a shining wall of water, and it pretty much blew my mind. It was so so so good. Yeah it was fantasia, there was a Mickey.

Althoug one of the best days was halloween, we were staying in some friend of the families home, and the street had a party, and the woman next door made me A PRINCESS OUTFIT. I imploded. She also made my brother a pumpkin and my other brother a pirate and my other brother a vampire. She was awesome. Then plied us with chocolate (probably didn't help the food poisoning). And we woke up one morning with an alligator in the pool. that was fun.

Worst thing about disneyland is that I don't drink carbonated drinks, and couldn't drink the tap water, so there was literally no options. We had to leave the park, find somewhere and beg our way back in. Y'all like your sugary stuff

Cliffs: Go to disney world

Today was Animal Kingdom day. We were in the Finding Nemo musical, which is a 30 minute version of the movie on stage with puppets and singing. Owen was so excited through the entire show - he was bouncing, he clapped along with everybody, he started "singing" along at one point.
