As I said, DEN is one of the best FTA disparity teams in the entire league. +25 FTA or whatever is absurd.

I'll buy that. One thing that always strikes me is how Durant's shots are so often perfect swishes. Durant is so amazing, and he's still so young. And he seems like a really good guy.

there was also that play where ginobli or someone hit nashes nose and busted open and they called a foul on nash and he couldn't play most of the rest of game 1 (a couple minutes)

good game tho

That was an entirely different game, pwns. But in the coulda woulda shoulda universe, anything is possible.

There was the eye injury also, though the Suns won that game.

It's interesting that reckless Nash is glorified for his injuries while reckless oft-injured Ginobili is derided as a flopper and a faker.

ethnic bigotry ftl

Reckless Nash attacked Tim Duncan's elbow with his eye.

Why did he choose to do it with such a vulnerable part of his body? Wouldn't the forehead have been better?

South Africa!

His college is also pretty good:

I saw him play in college. He wasn't like NBA Steve Nash yet, but he was memorable. The crowd got on him mercilessly after an airball and he went on complete tilt and started firing from way way long range.

I made pollo asada last night along with a mountain of stirfried veggies in coconut oil. There was much rejoicing.

internet etiquette question:

a girl i was at college with (10+ years ago, not currently a facebook friend) just commented on a facebook thingy by a male facebook friend of mine. That the two are friends is not unsurprising since i knew they were both in the same (niche) industry, but there's no reason to suspect that girl should know (nor care) that i know boy. What's the correct play? If I friend request her, it's gonna seem super random, so do i comment in the thread she's in?
04-28-2011 , 12:55 PM
friend request her and say "is this how I comment on statuses?"
04-28-2011 , 12:56 PM
It's Facebook - as long as you think she'll remember you, a friend request won't seem weird at all.
04-28-2011 , 12:56 PM
Random friend requests on FB are totally standard in my experience. Why not friend request her with a note that says "Hi I saw your comment to XXX; it was nice to see that you're on FB"?
