i'm likely to do it, but my initial desire to grab some superglue from the shop and do it now now now was overruled by a tedious bit of my brain that suggested it might be a good idea to back da **** up, and do it when i have some time to spare etc.

i used to listen to them when i didn't own a car. Pretty sure actual advice is a very marginal part of the appeal.

the yolo bit of my brain says it doesn't want the olo to be executed with a piece of ram superglued to my fingers.

And don't some places like target, best buy and Walmart now match amazon prices?

Walmart and Walmart.com is now usually cheaper than Amazon.

Ebay will generally *crush* Amazon if the price of the object is less than $20. Amazon's Marketplace fee structure is detrimental to inexpensive items.

BestBuy will often have great deals on computers. Especially when on sale (like today). Newegg will also generally be equal or cheaper than Amazon for electronics.

if i wasn't so lazy i'd go buy a computer today at bestbuy. but instead i'll watch videos, work on my monologue, maybe sunbathe, grind a little, then go to acting class and fail at asking out models

Interesting additions there, mark. I still haven't bought a new comp yet and I'm not sure I'll get around to it today seeing as its party tiiiiiime, but I asked my fiancé (zomg that looks weird) if he'd help me with the purchase. So now I can do a bit better with what I get but I still will need to do a decent amount of research on what to get and where to get it.

Have you actually bought a computer off eBay before? That process seems really intimidating to me and I'm afraid of getting ripped off somehow. What should I be looking for in an eBay ad? Does sellers reputation matter the most?

I buy computer parts off of ebay all the time. But ebay is a minefield of ripoffs, stolen equipment and broken equipment for the average buyer.

I wouldn't recommend *you* buying a computer off of ebay. Craigslist is marginally better because you can at least see what you're buying and who you're buying it from before you hand over the cash.
