That's much better than my 1st curveball story...

I was like 10 or 11 & playing in little league. Runner on 3rd, up by 1 run, bottom of the last inning, 2 out, 0-2 count.

Why not break out a curveball

Bounced the ball off the plate & over the catcher's head. Ran in to cover the plate, sat on the guy's leg when he slid toward home, caught the throw from the catcher & tagged him out to end the game.

Still feel dumb about that like 30 years later, even though it worked out ok.

When I was a kid I used to practice pitching a lot by throwing a tennis ball against a brick wall.

Unsurprisingly I didn't have much luck teaching myself a curveball, stupid lack of laces.

Little league was awesome though, my favorite memory was my last year I threw a 1 hit shutout. They almost never let us go the whole six innings but for some reason I got to do it.

lol!! i love it! great story!

My fastball had natural movement on it. I had no idea until my catcher told me. Turns out I was throwing a two-seamer. I just held the ball the way that looked normal. Had no idea it wasn't the best way. Even when I had a pitching coach they never talked about the grip.

Never tried a curveball because I had no idea how to do it.

Life was so weird before the internet.

Lol how is this corona virus **** being handled in the US? Are there also events being cancelled just like here in Europe ? (I live in the Netherlands).

I'm going on honeymoon to the US (west coast, SF, Vegas, national parks, etc) in 2 months time. Hopefully won't be bothered by corona struggles

My serious advice is to go get real advice. I had a friend screwed over by a bad two year contract before.

BTW, my gym was above average busy today. Had a mix of both young and older people.

I was a bit surprised.

gyms are among the safest large gatherings cuz people don't go to the gym if they're sick. obviously they could still be contagious and pre symptoms. but still. safer than a random large room full of people

I'm self quarantining tonight, going to social distance myself until I'm forced to go to work tomorrow.

Might have to topically apply some 80 proof alcohol to my insides to make sure they're virus-free.

I'm pretty sure the last few times I've been sick it was from the gym

Perfect plan.

Maybe 100 proof or higher would be better. Do they still sell Bacardi 151?
